We recently required a way to dynamically generate wall mesh data for one of our projects. While a wall is little more than a stretchy cube, the problem was made more complex by the need to selectively remove parts of the mesh surface based on the placement of windows or doors.

Unity's new UI system released in version 4.6 is great. A quality UI system was long overdue for Unity, and they've done a very nice job. However, there are some pitfalls - one big problem is runtime sprite generation, and how incredibly slow it can be! However, there are ways around the issue!

Our office recently purchased an Ultimaker 3D Printer online. After several weeks of watching the mail box, the day came when the kit arrived all the way from the Netherlands. That day was a Friday and was followed by a weekend of assembling the kit - a little like IKEA but with more wires.
